A Night to Remember

Prom was one of the most special nights of my life. It was one of the first times in my life I actually felt and looked beautiful. My dress was the perfect color of red--my favorite color. My date looked extremely handsome and well-groomed, and we had the most exquisite and elegant evening planned.

Senior prom wasn't just about my date and I. It was a social event for us. We were spending the evening with several other couples. We were picked up in a white stretch limousine that was big enough to seat twelve, even though there were only six of us. We spent a wonderful evening at the dance socializing with our classmates. It was going to be one of the last times we would ever see a lot of those people. After spending the evening talking, dancing, and holding one another in eachother's arms, we left the dance to make our reservations at the Signature Room in the John Hancock Building in Chicago. The atmosphere was extremely romantic with beautiful panoramic views of the city and the Lake from out table. Food was exquisite, and the service was impeccable. After our dinner, we were taken on carriage rides around the lake to take in the warm, May evening and the sights and sounds of the city around us.

As our night drew to a close, I looked at my date, and for the first time ever, I knew I was in love. It was a magical night, and I spent it with a wonderful man who made me feel like a princess. We shared our first of many wonderful kisses on my doorstep near dawn. I will never forget feeling so beautiful, so special, and so loved.
