Changing your entire outlook and image.

I'm 30 years old, and I have three sons. One day, a few days before my oldest son's Intermediate school's graduation, He came out and asked me to wear something "nice". At first, I will admit I was offended. I have always been a descent dresser, and thought what he meant.
Instead of ignoring him I asked what he meant. He told me, he had never seen me wear a dress or a skirt, or wear my hair down. After allot of thought, I could not ignore the fact that he was right. So, for his graduation, I went and bought me a few skirts, and vest type shirts, a few dress shirts, I even bought me a beautiful dress.
I chose the dress that morning, I got a short haircut, after having it very long all my life, and left for his big day.
All the other parents commented me, and mentioned allot of things that seemed different to them. My son's face that day was the one thing that helped me decide I liked the new change. He told me "mom your beautiful" that was the start of a new beginning. Another thing that was said, that helped change my outlook was, "did you lose weight?" I had been this size all my life, I had realized I was making myself look big. I have not reverted back to that, it's been 6 months.
