Letting People Change Who I am

My friends and I love to go out. Anywhere, you name it ; the movies, the mall, parties, everywhere. And every Thursday, we went to Olive Garden and after we would go out to the mall.
After about a year of doing this, my friends stopped calling me and just left me completely isolated. I felt horrible and I knew I didn't do anything to offend them.
After about a month of no contact or anything, I decided to go out to a movie to try to make to make myself feel better. And guess who I saw there, my old friends! It was dark so they didn't see me. I sat a row behind them, to try to overhear what they were saying. I couldn't hear a lot but I managed to figure out the reason they left me. It was because of the way I dressed! I have never really been into fashion, usually when we went out I would wear sweatpants and a hoodie.
I started to become very self-conscious and started to dress in skirts, dresses, and tighter clothes. But I always knew something was wrong. This wasn't me. I wasn't going to let other people control who I was. I went back to my old style and realized no matter what, never change who you are.
