Mix And Match Fashion

For the fashionably challenged there is a basic rule: less is best! If you shop for basic but fashion forward things (jeans, good pants, tanks, shirts, blazers etc) and use those for mix and match you can't go wrong. It looks like you know what you are doing even if all you did was throw two or three things on. When all your clothes look good and are cohesive it is hard to go wrong. I suggest also finding some great costume jewelry to throw on so you can add some sass or class to every outfit.

Here is what I think you need! A great pair of amazingly fitting jeans. Don't always go for trendy you won't necessarily be a able to pull it off. Looking and feeling good beats trendy! Make sure these jeans fit so well you KNOW you look good!

A nice pair of dress pants that go good with heals. Not to short, not to long. MAKE SURE THEY FIT PERFECTLY IN THE BUTT! You need a good cotton dress with a matching (but not to matchy) cardigan. That way it transitions from hot summer to cool fall. The cardigan also goes well with jeans. You need a great t-shirt that fits perfect! Make sure it falls at a flattering place on your waist... not tummy shirts!

You need a great sweater, make sure the arms of the sweater go past your wrist 1/2 an inch. I would suggest on a limited budget to go with a nice blazer instead of light coat because you can go casual with jeans or dress up with your slacks. If you want to go real work casual use your t-shirt with dress pants and blazer. Throw on some nice earings and you are good to go!

There are many other things you could have as staples in your closet that will mix and match, but this is a good, running start! Have fun!
