Women's clothing basically can be categorise into 8 basic categories.

Skirts
A skirt is a tube- or cone-shaped garment that hangs from the waist and covers all or part of the legs, worn mainly by girls and women. It is the simplest clothes, a skirt can be a draped garment made out of a single piece of material.

Gowns
A gown (medieval Latin gunna) is a (usually) loose outer garment from knee- to full-length worn by men and women in Europe from the early Middle Ages to the seventeenth century (and continuing today in certain professions); later, gown was applied to any woman's garment consisting of a bodice and attached skirt.

Dresses
A dress is a one-piece garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice. In another words, a one-piece clothes made from joining a shirt and a blouse or top. Is also a must in women's clothing.

Coats / Jacket
A coat is a long garment worn by both men and women to keep warmth. Coats typically have long sleeves and open down the front, closing by means of buttons, zippers, hook-and-loop fasteners, toggles, a belt, or a combination of these. Jackets can be considered as a short Coat. Generally shorter, ending just below the waist, and often lighter than coat.

Blouses / Tops
The term blouse most commonly refers a shirt made for women that is usually button-down fitting shirt that extends to the waist or slightly below. Blouse is more feminine and more formal, often used in the corporate world as well as in semi-formal occasions. Now blouse are more often called women's tops. Is a must in women's clothing.

Trousers / Pants
Trousers are an item of clothing worn on the lower part of the body from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately (rather than with cloth stretching across both as in skirts and dresses).

Undergarments / underwear
Undergarments or underwear are clothes worn under other clothes, often next to the skin. They keep outer garments from being soiled by perspiration, urine, semen, feces, and other discharges; shape the body; and provide support for parts of it. In cold weather, long underwear sometimes is worn to provide additional warmth. Some undergarments are intended for erotic effect. Undergarments commonly worn by women today include brassieres and panties (also known as knickers).

Sweaters / Cardigans / Pullovers
Cardigan a usually collarless knitted sweater or jacket, that opens down the full length down the front. Cardigan is also called cardigan sweater, cardigan jacket. By contrast, a pullover does not open in front, but forms a solid tube around the torso.
