Wrap dress is a a one-piece garment with a front closure formed by wrapping one side across the other and ties or buttons at the side. This forms a V-shaped neckline and hugs a woman's curves.

There are two basic design of this dress: the real wrap with front closure which actually wraps around you and ties at the side. The other design is call faux wrap. A faux wrap resembles this design, except that it comes already fastened together with no opening in front, but instead is slipped on over the head. It either have a panel in the front that is detached and can be tied to the dress or have a sash that ties over the dress. Either style will have the V neck and the diagonal line across the front.

One disadvantage of it, is that it has a fairly deep V neckline and if not worn properly, it tend to leave you extremely exposed on top. If you're not comfortable with that, layer the dress over a pretty silk or lace camisole for extra coverage, or, if you prefer, pin the V close with accessories. On the opposite, you can adjust the wrap to the desired cleavage level to pulls the eye upward, drawing attention away from the stomach and lower body.
